Aged Care Mobile X-Ray Service
The focus of our mobile medical imaging service unit within is to aid rural facilities, residential aged care and nursing homes service providers to deliver care for their residents closer to home without the need for a visit to the ED or a traditional medical imaging centre and with No-out-of-pocket-expense on the part of the resident/patient, his/her family or residential care facility.

This unique mobile X-Ray service focuses on residents who are clinically stable and do not require urgent transfer to an ED but do require an X-Ray to help guide initial or ongoing care.
The service is especially reliable and timely for frail in the case of older residents who cannot be moved.

The service is staffed by qualified radiographers and nurses with all images and reports available to patient’s regular or treating GP through the same process as if they were done at a hospital or traditional medical imaging site.

Patients benefiting from the service must have a GP referral for an X-ray or for an ultrasound exam. The process can take less than 20 minutes for an ankle or chest X-ray. X-rays are interpreted by a certified radiologist. Preliminary reports are telephoned on to the Doctor and care facility within the same hour and final reports forwarded within 2 hours.
